Not sure when to wear it, not in cold weather, but its not right for summers either. Not suitable for clubbing but very suitable for cuddling. okay, to be honest I like to wear this cologne before I go to sleep. I’m gonna get a lot of shit for this but I just didn’t like this one. Il faut espérer que GUCCI, marque d’avant-garde, saura pour une fois regarder en arrière et s’inspirer des géniales intuitions qui étaient les siennes il n’y a guère que 20 ans (époque du génialissime ENVY également). But then maybe a month after I owned my own bottle (instead of a tester 3ml) I stopped liking it, it gave me a headache and made me feel nauseous. It's interesting. Smells like tea; best for anytime as it is mild. HiM is better suited for colder weather. Old times, spectacular fragrances, tones of compliments. This is a really clever, well balanced offering that does exactly what you hope the list of ingredients will do. The aroma at first came off to me as subtly pungent; yet it was distinctly unique, and stimulating, and extremely fascinating to me for these qualities. A "BIG" 10 / 10 for me. Its not a loud, annoying, ultra projecting fragrance and I don't think it was meant to be, its very fresh and sexy and does last quite a long time. So far I tried roughly a hundred fragrances, this scent is by far the best. I'm not sure what the problem is. The middle notes are a memorable blend of black tea and pimento which come together to create a warm, spicy "perfect for Autumn" chord. Receive complimentary UK delivery on orders of £100 or over. The scent is otherwise very unique, yet won't offend anybody. Smells damn good black tea with cinnamon. It's more spicy than fresh, but it's still clean and not overpowering! I work as a doorman here in New York, it's been raining a lot and I wore it during the early morning, I was on the subway and a young couple approached me and asked what I was wearing, I told them Gucci Pour Homme 2, they were so impressed with the scent, they said that the combination of the cinnamon and the black tea were amazing! The juxtaposition of cool and warm in this fragrance is what I find really interesting, cool citrus ice tea (without sugar) flavored with some cinnamon and spicy pepper?!? I believe this one is discontinued so get this from on-line fragrance resellers while you can. I love this scent so much that it's in my Top 10, easily. It smells OK, its not a hate the smell thing, its just a bit meh. Could also be a very subdued version of some Andy Tauer fragrance. Super easy to wear, inoffensive, and "clean" smelling. It's a coming of age scent for me. Sweet memories... a nice tea scent thats classy . Refined, elegant wth divine trailing of tea. I'm expecting a good 7 or 8 hours before this becomes a skin scent. :) I feel like the whole island smelled like this back then and I didn't really enjoy it, but now I love it! Ladies appreciats more than men from my experience. There is nothing I would change about this: 10/10. One of my go-tos, HdP 1899, has similarities but isn't nearly as blended; individual notes stick out much more. It smells of quality and is cozy.I am a sucker for cardamom and love the bottle too. Unfortunately, it sits extremely close to my skin and pretty much disappears after 3-hours, which is surprising since most fragrances (non citrus) last and project extremely well on my skin. I feel like drinking the finest earl grey tea, so fresh... One of my favorite fragrances. Best suited for formal events, going out for coffee etc. When I first sprayed it on, it seemed to sit very close to the skin. This from an owner of probably 5 bottles of GPH2 as well as both GN and HM HiM. Charming little spicy tea fragrance I picked up while I was buying some other frags, never thought I'd get to sniff this discontinued gem. Love. It is a timeless understated fragrance. Simple, safe, not too loud, not too spicy, very versatile. This is an absolutely fantastic fragrance - holistic masterpiece. You could wear it anytime of day. Las Notas de Salida son bambú, bergamota y mandarina; las Notas de Corazón son sándalo, almizcle blanco y cedro; las Notas de Fondo son jengibre, resina de abeto, nuez moscada y ámbar. I told him what it was and I was really surprised, because with all the aromatics from that kitchen and my sweat mixed in and it was almost the end of the class, my chef was able to smell me after getting close to me at arms length. the Tea and the spices are very warm and conforting but not too warm that cant be warn on hotter days. I just had a sample and I was getting complimented far and wide. I bought it once and do not think buy again. It doesn't necessarily make me feel masculine, and that is part of the reason I only wear it to put me to sleep. IMO, the best Gucci fragrance they ever produced: the blend, the quality, performance - all is from niche side of the market. Giving this. This is the best tea based perfume you can buy right now. This one, however, is just perfect. My favorite fragrance out of my collection, like it so much I want to hold on to it since it’s discontinued. I love the bottle. I do wish it projected more and the sillage was better, but I can just add a few more sprays I guess. "Four years after Gucci Pour Homme, Gucci launched Gucci Pour Homme II, created by Karine Dubreuil just like the first one.". I can't even enjoy it myself, for which I bought it in the first place. Bottle away. I get decent longevity, and I'm not so concerned with projection as long as I can detect it on myself. Very clean, very masculine. There are no off notes here. The fragrance is soft and shy. BEST fragrance Gucci has ever put out! Beautiful tobacco/cinnamon fragrance thats nearly fresh enough to wear during the summer. Then today, I gave it a whiff from the bottle and I could finally smell it again the way I used to, so I doused my hoodie in it (as it only projects when I have it on my clothes) and I'm just totally enjoying it. Las mejores marcas en perfumes y cosmética. The juxtaposition of these two elements make this wearable any season, any time. This is one of my top five fragrances for men. I love this stuff. I love the tea and spices in this. I keep raising the back of my hand to my nose to smell this fragrance over and over again. At the moment next to Absolute the best fragrance for men from Gucci. It goes well with the pine trees, water and general warmth of the day. Despite the fact that it smells pretty close to HiM there is something unique and special about this that no other perfume I've smelled comes close to replicating. GPHII was a blind-buy for me and I'm super happy with the purchase. It's a very relaxing scent, but not even close to one of my favorites. It's great fragrance, I get tea with a hint of tobacco, a masterpiece but the longevity is a problem for me. The latter statement proved to be quite true, as I barely detect it after even one hour after application. The dry down/base is almost like a totally different fragrance, it really goes from ultra light and addictively fresh to super sexy/rich/spicy! I have been testing/wearing/collecting fragrances for 25+ years and this has to be in my ''all time top 5'' (designer or niche, does't matter), its that good! I agreed, and now this will always be a memory with this scent, a rainy morning with a couple that loved how I smelled. Very chic. It's just so... calming. There are trash scents that have stood the test of time and yet this gem has been discontinued. Quickly making it into the top 5. A nice tea cinnamon mix but very low sillage. Yes. Blind bought this one, and I fortunately did. Look for it, put them side by side and you will see how close they smell to each other. close to skin. Very wearable, and smells niche. This is sweet, but not loud and cloyingly sweet, more of a calming sort. I have to agree with the previous review. Extremely versatile, attractive, playful yet artistic. I have a lot of beautiful memories I associate with this fragrance, but it's an agreeable scent even without nice memories to associate with it. Non offensive dominated by tea with cinnamon sprinkled in there. It is soft, but that is part of the overall charm of such a fragrance. Versatile too in any weather, any occasion. I didn't remember having neither this sample nor its peculiar, pleasing perfume. Black tea and cinnamon. Gucci Pour Homme II, or, the first and last time I'm going to blind-buy a perfume. Of similar scents I value Him by Hanae Mori higher, but to the office I would wear GPH II. Doesn't seem to last very long unfortunately maybe 3 hours at best. The most prominent notes here to me are tobacco, black tea—and what I would assume is olive tree? Its truly amazing how distinct the notes and transitions are! The thing I love the most about Gucci Pour Homme II is that it is a fresh scent for men that doesn't have that sharp "masculine cologne" smell. But this is the best there is in the category. You could literally spray this fragrances 10 times and wont ruin the smell. After about 30 minutes, I started to smell some relaxing tea but the cinnamon was still there too. Honestly, part of the reason I fell for him is because he always smelled so damn good! Beware of fakes. i can’t smell the tea in this (though it does have a tea-drinking, subdued sort of vibe) but it's a gentle, violet tobacco, softly spicy, a bit heavy on the cinnamon. Please read the Terms of Service and Privacy policy. Fortunately, it is not discontinued. What I like about this fragrance most is it smells like something you would just catch a whiff of from someone passing you by, but you may not associate that smell with a man who loves to overly pamper himself with fine perfume. I’ve had it in my collection for around 10 years now. One of the most elegant fragrances I have ever smelled. I also get a slight resemblence to Prada LR Carbon, but that might just be my imagination. It does not come off as old, modern or experimental. I think it may have been discontinued temporarily at one point in time several years ago but as you say it's now readily available in most Sephora stores and in most airport duty free shops. So it's a fact. Aquatic and oriental/tea smell, kind of powdery. Subtle enough to be worn in close quarters (car, class, office, plane). The spiciness isn't harsh, just sweetly spicy and perfect for warmer weather, with the violet leaf still present but muted. Its a wallflower perfume. I can smell this on me and my husband all day when either of us wear it (I steal from his bottle :D) so it's a good performer for a fresh scent without ever becoming overbearing. 1.5-2 hours later the scent become a solid, skin close scent, but hell, the drydown is one of the most beautiful, what I ever smelled in my life. Definitely a masculine fragrance that says mature but not old. Tested this out for a week at work and around town from a 2013 batch. Like nasty pungent. Bought this blind recently, and absolute love it. I have had this for so long and I can't believe I am just wearing it for the first time, and it is just awesome, but totally for warmer weather, and I don't think it has much to do with Gucci Pour Home (I) since the only similitude they share is the bottle.
